After 34 days, 13 playoff games, and hundreds of entry picks from 100 contestants, the winner of this year's NFL playoffs contest is Brian A! He scored a total of 3,760 points throughout the four weeks and correctly guessed the victors of 10 of the 13 playoff games, including the Super Bowl. He began the contest in 18th place, and worked his way up the leaderboard to claim the top spot and the top cash prize of $250. His total score of 3,760 points is the highest of all the 13 previous contest winners. Congrats, Brian!
Andria C finished in 2nd place with 3,505 points, winning $100. In 3rd place is Ranga B with a total of 3,470 points. He wins the 3rd place prize of $50. Ten contestants round out the Top 13, each winning $10: Sunny R, Michael D, Scott C, Cheryl D, Ella D, Mike C, Anand G, Albert B, Katie T, and Jason L. Congrats to the Top 13, especially for the first-time prize winners (Brian A, Ranga B, Sunny R, Scott C, Ella D, Anand G, Albert B, and Katie T).

Overall, Ranga B improved the most in the rankings, jumping up an impressive 90 places (from 93rd to 3rd). Other contestants who made big comebacks in the contest were Cheryl D (92nd to 7th), Aimee A (97th to 16th), Liam C (94th to 28th), and Angelo C (83rd to 23th). Ella D performed the best among the 13 newcomers this year, finishing in 8th place. Other notable rookies were Samuel L (17th), Reggie F (20th) and Matthew S (33rd). There were a total of 30 contestants who were in the overall Top 13 at some point during the contest, and 10 contestants who made the overall Top 3. The contestants who scored the most points in WEEK 4 were: Andria C (1,725 pts), Ella D(1,700 pts), Ranga B (1,625 pts), Stu H (1,600 pts), and Cheryl D (1,575 pts).

48 contestants correctly predicted that the Kansas City Chiefs would win Super Bowl LVII, with 22 of them getting both the margin of victory and over/under correct as well. The Chiefs won their third Lombardi Trophy (and their second in four years), as Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes led a 4th-quarter comeback over Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles.

All of the Top 13 contestants correctly picked the Chiefs to win -- that's how important the Super Bowl victor always is in determining this contest's winners. In an alternate universe where the Eagles won the Super Bowl, the Top 3 contestants would have been Vinnie M in 1st, Brian A in 2nd, and Erin G in 3rd!

Throughout this contest I've always tried to be as thorough as possible, double- and triple-checking the results every week. But there's always the possibility for human error, even when using an Excel spreadsheet to make all the calculations. So to give everyone a chance to review the accuracy of this contest's final results, I will wait a few days before sending the Top 13 contestants their cash prizes (via their online payment method of choice, or check/cash). During this time, if anyone finds any errors/discrepancies in the entry picks or leaderboard scores, please let me know right away. You will have until Wednesday, February 15 at 11am CST to inform me of any errors. After that time, I will award the winning contestants their prizes, and this year's contest will officially come to a close.
I hope you had as much fun with this contest as I did, and I look forward to doing it again next year. 'Til then, thanks for playing and God bless!
